It takes a special kind of bride to pull off a black wedding dress, but when the right person Leisha & James Wedding at Russets Wedding Venue does it, it is simply exquisite!
Yesterday I had the delight of performing at the wedding reception of Leisha & James at Russets Country House in Surrey. This a beautiful, purpose-designed venue that lends itself to a stylish and contemporary wedding as well as being owned and managed by a truly lovely family, all of whom are accommodating and friendly as well as offering the very best service.
Leisha and James booked me after a chance meeting at the Russets wedding fair last year and based on the response of most specifically, Leisha’s Mother Jackie, I knew that this would not only be a fun wedding to be at, but a proper party in every sense of the word.
From the lavish venue decor to the bespoke cake, all of the major details had been taken care of. But it was the personal touches that made this even more special…
The live song that Leisha’s brother and the talented Lily Kenny sung her down the aisle to and the specially designed bridesmaids dresses that were hand-made by their Nan meant that this wedding was a truly memorable day to be reckoned with.
Leisha and James are a genuinely delightful couple and they had gone all out on ensuring that their guests enjoyed their special day just as much as they did. From the word GO this was a dream audience for me, filled with beautifully responsive people that were a genuine pleasure to perform for. Brilliant friends and family throughout the entire evening! I have never had so many pretty screaming girls around me at once. #feltlikeapopstar! ? Add to that the greatest on-site PR agent in the world, Leisha’s Mum Jackie (a gift to any performer) all made this a really fun and memorable evening!
I said at the start of this, that it takes a special kind of bride to pull off a black wedding dress and to be honest, I cannot imagine anyone better suited to take on and totally conquer this challenge than Leisha. With an infectious personality that dares to be different this girl well and truly pulled it off. Not forgetting James of course, who gave a beautifully moving speech that matched the perfect balance of the whole day between attention to detail and more so; attention to family.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Fillery!
